About Us

Briana is a founding member of kDelta, a qualified handgun instructor through the state of Maryland, and has a background in Emergency Management and Criminal Justice. She joined the Anne Arundel County Community Emergency Response Team in 2008, was once the youngest member of the Maryland Human Trafficking Task Force, and created and led sexual assault avoidance and defense courses for multiple security companies. She trains federal security officers in Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, and Baton through Safariland/Monadnock, and holds instructor level certifications for USCCA Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals, Blue Shield Tactical De-escalation, Until Help Arrives, and Stop the Bleed, plus TECC and Range Safety Officer certifications. Briana has been involved in live scenario training including mass casualty events both in and behind the scenes since 2009.​

James is a certified Until Help Arrives Instructor, a member of the Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department, and is Tactical Emergency Casualty Care Certified.  He is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and an advanced actor combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors, and is certified in all 8 weapon styles. He has taught for numerous schools, professional theaters, and community theaters in the Maryland/DC area, and served as a fight consultant for the Synetic's Helen Hayes award-winning Three Musketeers. He has also served as Creative Director for numerous live scenario based trainings in the DMV area, training students in first aid, personal self-defense, road traffic accident response, active shooter, and more.

Jeff is a retired police officer for Baltimore City PD with extensive practical training for surviving real world catastrophes. He holds certifications in Until Help Arrives, Bystander Aid, and Range Safety. Jeff has three years of emergency and high threat simulation training experience in the private sector, working closely with security firms to help spread awareness through proper training for both law enforcement and civilians. During his time with BCPD, Jeff instructed new recruits at the police academy and helped create the Uniform Digital Reporting System used by all Maryland police departments today. 

AJ was a USCCA certified handgun instructor with over 7 years of firearms experience. After working double duty as armed security and as a TSA Officer, he branched into personal protection and fugitive recovery. AJ wanted to combine his passion for teaching and all things firearm related into something that could help good people on their journey to true safety and protection. AJ's legacy lives on as we strive every day to honor his memory.

Martin began working as an Instructor and Assistant Instructor in 2013, sharing basic skills he learned in the MD Army National Guard, and teaching the Maryland Handgun Qualification Course. Martin has 10-plus years under his belt as an Instructor and over 25 years of firearms experience. He works full time in the Firearms/Defense Industry as both a Certified and Licensed USCCA, NRA, & MD State Instructor, with a background in Private Security for various private organizations securing V.I.P.s, and providing event security. Martin is also a certified Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid instructor and Stop the Bleed instructor. In his spare time he loves wildlife photography and competing in shooting sports events.

Ken is retired from the Baltimore County Police Department where he served for 23 years. The majority of his time he served as a Detective investigating violent crimes including sex crimes, homicide and armed robbery. He also served for 18 years in the county’s Dignitary Protection Team where he provided close proximity personal protection for prominent individuals, foreign heads of state and other dignitaries visiting the county including several Presidential visits. After retiring he spent 8 years working on the staff of one of Maryland’s representatives to the U.S. Congress where he advised the Congressman on crime and public safety issues and public safety labor issues. He also worked for several

private security companies providing security for a myriad of entities including defense contractors where he held Secret and Top-Secret security clearances. His last stint in Law Enforcement was as

Superintendent of the Maryland Natural Resource Police.
